Welcome to Christ the King!

Christ the King parish was formed on April 22 1970. It consists of parts of the old parishes of Our Lady of the Rosary and a small portion of St Munchin's parish. The first parish priest in Christ the King was Fr John Browne. When it was originally formed, the parish consisted of farmland and two estates in Caherdavin. Now, however, it is a large suburb of Limerick City.

The population of the parish is around 5,500.
